Josefa Sicard-Mirabal – Chairwoman
Ms. Sicard-Mirabal is Chairwoman and founder of Dominicans on Wall Street. She currently serves as Director of Arbitration and ADR in North America for the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”). In such capacity she represents and promotes ICC dispute resolution services in the US and Canada and advises North American attorneys and companies on all phases of arbitration, including negotiation of arbitration clauses, requests for arbitration, procedural issues and enforcement of arbitration award.
Ms. Sicard-Mirabal began her legal career as a judge of a Small Claims Court and subsequently as Chief Justice of the Civil, Commercial and Labor Court in the Dominican Republic. Since 1989 she has been in private practice in the United States, with the law firms of Greenberg Traurig, Winston & Strawn and Thelen Reid and Priest, specializing in domestic and international arbitration and conciliation cases and litigation matters involving embezzlement and fraud, complex corporate finance and banking transactions. She has also worked on domestic and international business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance, and capital markets transactions.
She received a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. She continued her legal studies at Fordham University School of Law in New York City. She is admitted to the New York State bar and the Dominican Republic bar. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish. She has appeared on numerous television programs, local and foreign newspapers, and is frequently asked to speak on public events and seminars.
Ms. Sicard-Mirabal has been named one of “The 20 Leading Latinas in Business” by Hispanic Enterprise Magazine in its September 2007 issue; one the “100 Most Influential Hispanics ” by Hispanic Business Magazine in its October 2006 issue, and she is a recipient of the DTM Magazine “Latino Trendsetters Award for 2006.
Daisy María Domínguez-Auger
Daisy Auger-Domínguez is Associate Vice-President, Diversity for Moody’s Investors Service where she is responsible for leading Moody’s global diversity and inclusion strategies. Prior to that, she was charged with implementing global philanthropic and community involvement programs for The Moody’s Foundation. She began her career at Moody’s as a credit risk analyst covering municipal and corporate project finance transactions in the United States and Latin America.
Mrs. Auger-Domínguez is a graduate of the Coro New York Leadership Center’s Fellows Program. She served as one of the lead conference organizers of Dominicans 2000 “Building Our National Agenda”. Mrs. Auger-Domínguez has received various recognitions including a New York City Council Citation in recognition of her community efforts; el diario La Prensa’s Latinas Destacadas award; and the Coro Crystal Apple Award. In 2002, she was selected to the Young Hispanic Leaders Program sponsored by the Embassy of Spain.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Auger-Domínguez grew up in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at NYU, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Women’s Studies from Bucknell University.
Mrs. Auger-Domínguez is married and lives in the Hamilton Heights area of New York City. She currently serves on the boards of the Association of Hispanic Arts and Dominicans on Wall Street, Inc
Juan Arturo Hache
Juan A. Hache is a director and an institutional trader of special issues in Citigroup Global Markets’ fixed income division where he specializes in treasury bills, treasury strips and government agencies securities.
Mr. Hache began his Wall Street career in 1970 and by the mid 1980s became a vice president at Salomon Brothers Inc., which later merged with Smith Barney, and shortly thereafter merged with Citibank to become Citigroup.
Mr. Hache received an AAS in Finance in 1983 from Pace University.
Mr. Hache contributes to youth organizations such as Dominican Pro Help To The Children, United Way, Feed The Children, Food for The Children and Disabled American Veterans. Through the generous giving of his time, spirit and wealth, coupled with his kind demeanor, Juan continues to inspire and guide young people to the road of success.
Giovanni Sanchez
Giovanni Sanchez joined FactSet Research Systems Inc in 2005. In his current role as an Investment Banking Product Manager, Mr. Sanchez is responsible for identifying, analyzing and implementing strategic IT solutions for the company’s Investment Banking clients. Prior to FactSet, Mr. Sanchez worked at Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Strategic IT department, as an E-Commerce Associate. Mr. Sanchez was responsible for identifying, analyzing and implementing strategic IT solutions for the entire Investment Banking Division, with a staff of over five thousand employees globally.
Mr. Sanchez previously spent four years at Morgan Stanley’s Latin America Corporate Finance Group. During his tenure there, Mr. Sanchez worked in the execution of strategic advisory, M&A and capital raising assignments for clients in the banking, beverage, natural resources, telecommunications, electric utility and conglomerate sectors. Some of the projects included the execution of the US$75MM Initial Public Offering for Tricom, S.A.; the US$1.5 billion structured debt offering for PEMEX and the US$19 billion sale of Telebras.
Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Sanchez worked as a consultant for Boice Dunham Group, a Management Consulting Firm in New York. Mr. Sanchez received a BS in Economics and Finance from Bernard Baruch College, where he graduated cum laude in 1995. Mr. Sanchez is native of the Dominican Republic.
In addition to his professional work, Mr. Sanchez co-owns Sanchez Enterprises Inc, a real estate development company with operations in North East New Jersey. He serves as vice president and board member. Mr. Sanchez previously served as DOWS treasurer and secretary.
Cid Wilson
Cid Wilson is a U.S.-born Dominican-American and a life-long resident of Bergen County, New Jersey. He currently serves as Director of Research for Kevin Dann & Partners LLC in New York City, a brokerage and Wall Street research firm. He covers the Retailing—Hardlines sector and gives financial advice to multi-billion dollar institutional clients (i.e. banks, hedge funds, asset management firms, insurance companies, states, sovereign countries, and more).
Mr. Wilson previously served as Vice President and Senior Analyst for Whitaker Securities, a Wall Street investment bank. As an associate research analyst at Salomon Smith Barney, his team was voted as a runner-up for five years to the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Association for Investment Management & Research and the New York Society of Securities Analysts. Yahoo! Finance ranks Cid Wilson as one of the top Wall Street financial analysts in the country based on his accuracy in forecasting corporate earnings. In February 2004, Cid Wilson made the cover page of Black Enterprise Magazine, where his success as an Afro-Latino was profiled nationally to millions of readers.
Mr. Wilson additionally serves as President of the Dominican American National Roundtable (DANR) in Washington, DC, the only organization in the U.S. that focuses on Dominican issues at the national level, as a member of Governor-elect Jon Corzine’s Gubernatorial Transition Team focusing on property tax reform, founding boardmember of Dominicans On Wall Street (DOWS), Boardmember of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense & Education Fund (PRLDEF), President Emeritus of the Latino American Democratic Association of Bergen County (LADA); Life member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), “Leadership Circle Member of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), Political Liaison Chairperson for the N.J.
