Robert Abreu – President

Robert Abreu is a Vice-President at Goldman Sachs & Company within the Office of Global Leadership and Diversity. His primary duties focus on driving the firm’s strategy on diversity and inclusion, especially as it relates to the Hispanic population.  Prior to his current role, Robert spent 10 years in the Technology Division at Goldman Sachs, most recently within the Information Security Investigations and Forensics team. Robert is also part of the leadership in the firms Hispanic Network, and a supporter of diversity recruiting efforts for the company.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he spent the majority of his career working for retail and international banks in various financial and operational positions. These include Den Danske Bank, National Bank of Canada, Metrobank, Valley Savings Bank and American Express International Bank. He also owned and operated his own computer training business in northern New Jersey.

Mr. Abreu is an active participant on a number of Boards, professional and philanthropic organizations. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Federation, Board of Directors of Catholic Charities Community Services and is a past Board of Trustees member for The Flat Rock Brook Nature Center in Englewood New Jersey. He also sits on a number of Advisory Boards including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Latino Advisory Committee, the Hope Program in Brooklyn, the Junior Achievement Program Hispanic Initiative, St. Elizabeth School and Murry Bergtraum High School in Manhattan. He is the President of Dominicans on Wall Street (DOWS) and the NYC Chapter President for Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA). He is also the past Vice President of Programs for the Help Desk Institute (HDI) NYC Chapter.

In addition to these leadership roles, Robert volunteers with a number of programs including Student Sponsor Partners, New York Cares and Habitat for Humanity. He financially supports organizations focusing on Latino causes and issues, as well as the arts. He is a very active member of his community, and deeply involved with initiatives around educating and mentoring young people. He is a frequent speaker at many schools and programs.

Born to Dominican parents, Robert is a native of the Washington Heights section of Upper Manhattan in New York City. He currently lives in Bergen County New Jersey with his wife and children. Robert received his Bachelor’s degree in Management from St. Peter’s College in New Jersey.  Robert also completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education Board of Directors Leadership program. He has been recognized by DTM magazine, LISTA and the organization Save Latin America for his leadership and impact. In 2009, Hispanic Business magazine named Robert as one of the 100 Most Influential Latinos in the United States.

Tadeo Silva – Vice President & Treasurer

Tadeo Silva is a financial advisor for MetLife in New York City. He works with individuals and small businesses to help identify and achieve financial objectives via various financial products and investment services. Tadeo maintains an active community involvement as he has taken part in different community initiatives as a host, organizer or participant in conjunction with DANR, ADASA, and DBA. Tadeo has the New York State insurance license and is also a registered representative with the NASD Series 6 & 63 licenses.

Tadeo holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Pace University.

Frank Gutierrez – Co-Secretary

Frank Gutierrez is a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.  He currently works as a trader and portfolio manager for the Global Liquidity group within Investment Management.

He is part of the team responsible for the management of J.P. Morgan’s US Dollar Money Market Mutual Fund business.  J.P. Morgan is the world’s largest provider of Institutional Money Market funds.  Frank’s group was recently awarded the Institutional Investor, 2010, US Investment Management Award for “Cash and Money Management Manager of the year”.

He began his career with Chase Asset Management and in his 10 years at J.P. Morgan has held various positions within the fixed income group.

Frank received a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
